The Tales of Dunk and Egg are a series of novellas written by George R. R. Martin, set in the world of his Song of Ice and Fire cycle. Two novellas have appeared so far, The Hedge Knight and The Sworn Sword while a third titled The Mystery Knight is set for publication in the forthcoming Warriors anthology (expected in March 2010). The stories relate the adventures of Dunk (eponymously called Ser Duncan the Tall, a legendary member of the Kingsguard before the time of A Song of Ice and Fire) and Egg (the later King Aegon V in a disguised role), beginning with their meeting eighty-nine years before the events of the main cycle and intended to cover a long period of time. Martin has indicated there will be several more stories, as many as nine, covering much of the life stories of the two protagonists.

There are also three separate novellas set in the same world, known as the "Tales of Dunk and Egg" after the main protagonists. They are set about ninety years before the novels and for now have no direct connection with the plot of A Song of Ice and Fire.

The Hedge Knight and The Sworn Sword are also both available as graphic novels from Dabel Brothers Productions. The author has said that he would like to write a number of these stories (varying from six to twelve from interview to interview) covering the entire lives of these two characters. Publication of the third "Dunk and Egg" novella, titled The Mystery Knight, is provisionally set for 2010 in an anthology named Warriors, which will be edited by Martin and Gardner Dozois.

ja procitao hedge knight i sworn sword,nisu na razini ostalih knjiga jer su prekratke ali su cisto solidne stvari za ubit popodne

inace ja sam citao na engleskom u pdf-u,bez ovih slika,ali to ti ima oko 20 stranica teksta svaka prica,tako da moguce da je ovo sve

Čitao sam ovu The Hedge Knight, kod nas je prevedena kao Lutajući vitez, ima je u jednom od Monolitha, mislim da je svezak 2. Srpski je prijevod ako se ne varam.
A što se tice priče - Pravo dobro u Martinovom stilu, ima akcije, humora, dosta humora i povijesnih detalja bitnih za kasnije knjige. Sve u svemu isplati se pročitati.
